The placement of safety signs on buildings and crowded public places and work places is usually done quickly and not always effectively. Generally, the financial budget dedicated to this facility, taking into account that involves installing a series of plastic signs, is not cost-effective compared to the work involved in its implementation properly. Given that, fortunately, these are facilities that are rarely necessary, it seems logical and necessary effort and resources devoted to its design. But even taking into account these premises, it is unthinkable to make the design of these facilities without trying to approach the optimum design. It therefore seems necessary to develop tools that not only reduce the mechanical and repetitive work required to perform these designs, but also allow us to bring the level of safety of these facilities to the maximum required to each, ensuring technical staff employees that their design is the best of all possible. With this in mind, work has been developed. It has been arranged so that, once raised the issue of it, we will establish the hypothesis considered, and objectives defined at the beginning of the investigation. It will also be considered and justified the methodology of work followed. While the final outcome of the investigation will be embodied in a computer program, the study will focus on establishing the groundwork that allows its definition, through the requirements that will be set throughout the study. As a starting point of research, a study of the state of the art will be made. Thus all legislation and regulations affecting the system design will be analyzed, focusing the work on the statement of the premises to be considered during the establishment of requirements. Another important point is the study of the programs that are available to technicians in signaling. As a starting point in the research, we will carry out an analysis of the target system. It will be structured in several sections and it will be analyzed the data stream that can convert the information extracted from the rules and regulations studied. Then we will analyze the use cases in which the system can be defined. These use cases reflect the various scenarios that may be encountered during the use of the system. Use cases diagrams are transformed into state diagrams, which will lead us to an approach to the procedimental solution of the case taken as a basis for developing the prototype. The fundamental step in designing the structure of the system is modelling. This will establish the conceptual classes with their relationships and attributes, so that the system design will be completed in the absence of development and structure as a computer program. Although it appears as the final part of the analysis process, the realization of a prototype will serve as a testbed in which to test the result of the design done. In addition, data and experiences arising from the use of prototype will feedback the design process, providing a wealth of information to the steps outlined above and performed simultaneously with it. To validate the whole process, the prototype will be used for carrying out various projects within a protected environment, allowing study "in the wild" the behavior of both the user and the system, observing the mutual interaction and drawing conclusions difficult to achieve since the cold point of view of analysis.Finally, before final conclusions are drawn a Software Requirements Specification document, as recommended by the IEEE in IEEE 830.

La señalización de seguridad en los edificios y establecimientos de pública concurrencia, así como la de los lugares de trabajo, se suele realizar de forma rápida y no siempre de forma eficaz. Generalmente, el montante económico de esta instalación, teniendo en cuenta que consiste en instalar una serie de señales de plástico, no resulta rentable comparado con el trabajo que implica su realización de forma correcta. Teniendo en cuenta que, afortunadamente, son instalaciones que rara vez son necesarias, parece lógico e imprescindible el esfuerzo y los recursos dedicados a su diseño. Pero, aún teniendo en cuenta estas premisas, es impensable realizar el diseño de estas instalaciones sin tratar de acercarse al diseño óptimo. Por eso, parece necesario desarrollar herramientas que no solo reduzcan el trabajo mecánico y repetitivo necesario para realizar estos diseños, sino que, además, permitan acercar el nivel de seguridad de estas instalaciones al máximo exigido a cada una de ellas, asegurando al técnico que las emplee que su diseño es el mejor de todos los posibles. Con esta idea se ha planteado el trabajo, organizado de forma que, una vez presentado el tema del mismo, se establecerán las hipótesis tenidas en cuenta, así como los objetivos definidos al inicio de la investigación. También se planteará y justificará la metodología de trabajo seguida. Si bien el resultado final de la investigación se materializará en un programa informático, el trabajo realizado se centrará en establecer las bases que permitan definirlo, por medio de los requisitos que se irán fijando a lo largo del estudio. Como punto de partida de la investigación, se realizará un estudio del estado del arte. Para ello se analizará toda la legislación y normativa que afecta al diseño del sistema, centrando el trabajo en el enunciado de las premisas a tener en cuenta durante el establecimiento de los requisitos. Otro punto importante será el estudio de los programas que se encuentran a disposición de los técnicos en señalización. Como punto de inicio, se realizará un análisis del sistema a definir. Se irá estructurando el sistema en diversos apartados y se analizará el flujo de datos en que se puede convertir la información extraída de la reglamentación y normativa estudiada. A continuación se analizarán los casos de uso en los que se puede definir el sistema. Estos casos de uso reflejarán los distintos escenarios que se podrán encontrar durante el uso del sistema. Los casos de uso se transformarán en diagramas de estados, lo que permitirá realizar una aproximación a la solución procedimental tomada como base para desarrollar el prototipo. El paso fundamental para el diseño de la estructura del sistema consiste en su modelado. Para ello se establecerán las clases conceptuales, con sus relaciones y sus atributos, de forma que quede terminado el diseño del sistema, a falta de su desarrollo y conformación como programa informático. Aunque aparezca como la parte final del proceso de análisis, la realización de un prototipo servirá como banco de pruebas en el que probar el resultado del diseño realizado. Además, los datos y experiencias surgidos de su uso servirán de realimentación del proceso de diseño, aportando gran cantidad de información a las etapas expuestas en orden anterior en el trabajo, pero realizadas de forma simultánea con el mismo. Para validar todo el proceso, se empleará el prototipo para la realización de varios proyectos dentro de un entorno “protegido”, que permita estudiar “in the wild” tanto el comportamiento del sistema como el del usuario, observando la interacción mutua y extrayendo conclusiones difícilmente alcanzables desde el frío punto de vista del análisis. Por último, antes de las conclusiones finales, se redactará el documento de especificación de requisitos del software, tal y como lo recomienda el IEEE en su norma IEEE 830.
