Abstract

How to understand literary texts that they say - I' before the beginning of the time of the autobiographical thing, More still, how to do it if these texts are texts of women? The stories of life of Maria of San José, the Mother Castillo and Úrsula Suárez, Hispano-American nuns of centuries XVII and XVIII, become corpus of work from which to think a lineage, wich crosses the line that unites to hagiografías, lives and autobiographies and from that it is possible to re-read the modern autobiographical theory with a greater profusion of senses. The autobiographies of Teresa of the Andes and Laura de Montoya (century XX) help to complete a parabola that is asked for the way of circulation of knowledge of women in Latin America. What means to be woman in the Hispano-America of the colony? What to write like woman in the colony? These are the questions that act like departure point for a thesis that combines the incognitos of literary history and history of women with those of autobiographical theory, but where also before the question what means to be written like woman? The texts of corpus answer without problemens: to write a body. The rhetoric of the corporality in the feminine textualidad becomes the touchstone on which this study is constructed; that it thinks the relation between anorexy mirabilis and modern anorexy, that the origin of the rhetoric of the weeping like language of women documents, that approaches the analysis of the blood metaphors..., moving the vindications of the modern feminism towards its historical origins.
