Abstract
This doctoral thesis aims to contribute to the knowledge of Internet-delivered treatments for specific phobias. With this purpose, a systematic review and preliminary meta-analysis of Internet- and mobile-delivered treatments for this problem was conducted. Secondly, a feasibility pilot study was conducted to explore the acceptability of 360º images in exposure scenarios of an Internet-delivered treatment for flying phobia. In addition, the potential effectiveness of this treatment was analyzed and compared to a waiting list control group, and the sense of presence and reality judgment in the different types of images were explored. Finally, a qualitative study was conducted to explore the reasons why participants dropped out of the intervention with the aim of improving the treatment program in the future.
