A la present tesi es proporciona una descripció del mecanisme i la cinètica d'algunes reaccions d'interès troposfèric. En aquests temps on les emissions antropogèniques a l'atmosfera estan creixent a un ritme imparable, es fa necessària una revisió de l'impacte que les activitats humanes tenen sobre el nostre medi. Per a entendre i prevenir els fenòmens atmosfèrics, es creen models on s'inclouen el màxim de variables. Els estudis teòrics com els que es presenten a aquesta tesi, proporcionen informació sobre els mecanismes de reacció, i sobre dades cinètiques, com per exemple les constants de velocitat, que posteriorment poden ajudar al plantejament dels models predictius.
Un aspecte comú a totes les reaccions estudiades és el fet de que corresponen a processos d'oxidació de compostos orgànics volàtils (VOCs) pel radical OH. En concret, s'ha treballat amb alquens (etè, propè, isobutè i cloretè) i compostos parcialment oxigenats (glicolaldehid, metil vinil cetona i metacroleïna). Els principals objectius perseguits al treball de tesi són els següents:
1. Explicar, mitjançant la teoria de l'estat de transició convencional, l'aparició d'energies d'activació negatives en el cas de les reaccions entre diversos alquens i el radical OH, així com determinar la regioselectivitat per als alquens substituïts.
2. Proporcionar, en el cas del sistema glicolaldehid + OH, la constant de velocitat a diferents temperatures per a una reacció multiwell i multichannel mitjançant la teoria de l'estat de transició canònica variacional, amb túnel multidimensional quan ha estat necessari.
3. Facilitar una descripció teòrica del comportament amb la pressió i la temperatura de les constants de velocitat dels sistemes metil vinil cetona + OH i metacroleïna + OH, mitjançant la teoria de l'estat de transició microcanònica convencional i la resolució de l'equació master.
4. Obtenir les entalpies de formació teòriques i les energies de dissociació d'enllaç per a la metil vinil cetona i la metacroleïna, així com per als seus productes d'oxidació, per tal de proporcionar informació sobre la força dels diferents enllaços que es formen o es trenquen en l'oxidació pel radical OH.

In the current thesis it is provided a description of the mechanism and the kinetics of some reactions of tropospheric interest. In these times where the anthropogenic emissions to the atmosphere are growing to an unstoppable pace, makes necessary a review of the impact that the human activities have on our environment. To deal and to anticipate the atmospheric phenomena, models are created where the maximum of variables is included. The theoretical studies like that appearing in this thesis, provide information about the mechanisms of reaction, and about kinetics information, as for example the rate constants, which later can help to the description of the predictive models.
A common aspect to all the studied reactions is the fact that they correspond to processes of oxidation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by the OH radical. Specifically, it has been worked with alkenes (ethene, propene, isobutene and chloroethene) and partially oxygenated compounds (glycolaldehyde, methyl vinyl ketone and methacrolein). The principal aims chased in this work of thesis are the following ones:
1. To explain, by using the conventional transition state theory, the appearance of negative energies of activation in the case of the reactions between diverse alkenes and the radical OH, as well as to determine the regioselectivity for the replaced alkenes.
2. To provide, in the case of the system glycolaldehyde + OH, the rate constant at different temperatures for a multiwell and multichannel reaction by means of the canonical variacional transition state theory, with multidimensional tunneling when it has been necessary.
3. To offer a theoretical description of the behavior with the pressure and the temperature of the rate constants of the systems methyl vinyl ketone + OH and metacrolein + OH, by using the microcanonical conventional transition state theory and the resolution of the master equation.
4. To obtain the theoretical enthalpies of formation and the bond dissociation energies for the methyl vinyl ketone and the metacrolein, as well as for their products of oxidation, in order to provide information about the force of the different bonds that are formed or broken in the oxidation by the OH radical.
